My name is D.J. Ankenbrandt, and our family is grateful you've made it here. Thank you for taking the time to learn about what we offer. For over 20 years, I have been fortunate to work with the life promoting qualities of plants. Throughout this time, I've observed profound transformations occur in so many people's lives after integrating tonic herbs and beneficial lifestyle practices. Witnessing the positive results has been truly humbling, especially for those dealing with moderate to severe health concerns. These successes have deeply inspired me to continue studying and sharing tools and information that can assist people in finding ever enhancing levels of foundational vitality.

I began my herbal consulting practice in 2010, offering individuals dietary guidance, Spagyric remedies, and strategic health plans. In time, I started formulating with Tonic Herbal Extracts, drawing on my Classical Chinese Herbal apprenticeship & training. One of the first clients that I regularly worked with received such positive results from implementing my comprehensive guidance, along with the Tonic Herbal protocol that we created, that they offered to help expand Cintamani Tonics offerings so that others could more easily access these precious life enhancing Tonics. In 2014, they generously gifted us the seed money required to fund the first significant acquisition of Beyond Organic Tonic Herbal Extracts. And the Cintamani Tonics Herbal Apothecary was born!

I've been drawn to all the supreme herbal remedies that are Tonic in nature and can generally be taken daily to regenerate, balance, tonify, and deeply nourish the body, mind, and spirit. The right herbs in the proper formulation can be veritable life savers, offering a deeper level of nutrition and remineralization that supports the body to heal itself. When we integrate these Tonics with a holistic diet and healthy lifestyle, we can access benevolent cycles of health that better equip us to fulfill our life's purpose. I practice and teach about these longevity techniques.

My experience and training is wide ranging, spanning over 20 years of dedication to learning and sharing the life promoting qualities of plants.

My initial training with preventative wellness practices began in 2006, on an organic farm. This was the beginning of my herbal studies, permaculture experience, and yoga training. From there I blossomed into the nutritional and herbal work, and committed my life to a path of radiant living. Being perpetually curious about ways that we can stay vibrant and healthy has brought me in touch with many different philosophies and methods devoted to longevity and holistic wellness.

My current herbal practice has been deeply inspired by my apprenticeship with Rehmannia Dean Thomas, a lineage holder of The Gate of Life, and long time apprentice to Ron Teeguarden. The Gate of Life is a very unique herbal framework that is Taoist in nature, and is generally considered to be the origins of what we currently know as Classical Chinese Medicine. Believed to be over 7,000 years old, this tradition focuses mostly on the use of Tonic Herbs, known to have profound life promoting qualities. Tonics are considered a deeply nutritious class of herbs which are very safe & effective, and are intended to be taken regularly over long periods of time to increase vitality and promote overall longevity, supporting broad benefits for mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness too.

At the heart of the Gate of Life tradition is the intention to utilize these potent herbs as tools to prolong life for the attainment of wisdom, to help enhance our capacity to understand our deepest purpose, and therefore serve as a true beneficial presence in this life.

In my time with this dear friend and mentor I have learned much about the ancient Chinese Tonic Herbal approach, and find these methods to be simple yet incredibly profound. I owe much credit to Dean for his immense herbal wisdom and caring heart. I am honored to carry this unique lineage and its empowering teachings forward through my own herbal consulting practice.
