Guggul Resin 10:1 Powdered Extract
About Cintamani Tonics
Guggul (Commiphora wightii), Mukul Myrrh, Gugal, Gugul
༄ Ayurvedic Tonic Herb ༄
Guggul has been a well known Ayurvedic herb for at least three thousand years. It's a precious resin gathered from a small tree, and its name from the original Sanskrit translates to "plant which protects from diseases." In Ayurveda, it is considered to have a warming energy, with qualities of penetration, lightness and dryness, and it is believed to balance all 3 doshas (yet its warming energy may be contra-indicated for an overly dominant Pitta dosha).
Guggul contains a unique phytosteroid called guggulsterone, as well as a number of essential oils such as eugenol, cineol and limonene. The potent scent and flavor of these oils is tangibly present in our 10:1 Hot Water Extract. Guggul also contains a broad spectrum of phytonutrients that contribute to its varied actions including anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, anticarcinogenic, immune modulating, and nootropic properties. It offers benefits throughout the body, supporting a healthy brain, gut, thyroid, endocrine system, and cardiovascular system.
Guggul is highly valued in Ayurveda because of its healing properties, and it has become a rare herb due to the high demand, so it is included in the Red list of threatened species. We have a finite supply of this rare and unique extract. Get it while it's here!
